about

With three full solo LPs, several albums with his group, W.A.S.T.E.L.A.N.D.S., plus countless cameos with other artists, Taiyamo Denku’s discography is as diverse as his subjects and stories. He’s worked with a lengthy list of hip hop’s lyrical masters—Chino XL, Prince Po, Keith Murray and Sabac Red, just to name a few. And he’s ripped over beats made by some of the top producers in the game, including Ayatollah, Nasa, Dub L and DJ Vadim.

Taiyamo Denku's articulation and ideas are designed to make you think, and he really doesn’t want it any other way. Now, Denku presents a new full-length release called "Quadrofiendia", produced by Agartha Audio and featuring Sadat X, Craig G, Masai Bey, L.I.F.E. Long, Atari Blitzkrieg, Teddy Faley and Shyheim the Rugged Child, among others. As always, Denku will be creating lyrical puzzles and challenging listeners to solve them inside headphones.

The Berkeley-based producer, Agartha Audio, pushes auditory boundaries and devises soundscapes as intriguing and thought-provoking as the paintings he creates. Dig Dug has released two full-length albums on Uncommon Records, Tales from the Cafetorium and The Hollow Earth, the latter of which was an avant-garde conceptual masterpiece loosely centered around the “Reptilian Agenda.” Dig Dug also turned heads as MF Borat with an EP titled The Mask and the Moustache, and produced the soundtrack for the Emmy-nominated documentary Fruits of War.

Agartha Audio now teams up with label-mate Taiyamo Denku for Quadrofiendia. Spawned from a simple conversation over Twitter, the two created 15 tracks of aural insanity.
